Events & Fundraising
Our mission is powered by community. From local runs to national conferences, we are continually humbled by the kindness, creativity and dedication of our supporters. These fundraising efforts, together with generous corporate partnerships, allow us to keep delivering assistive devices at no cost to families. Here are some of the highlights that have made a real impact. If you’d like to organise your own event, please reach out!
Rock A Sock Day
Rock a Sock Day is a fun and meaningful way to bring your team together while supporting the work of Free 3D Hands.
By taking part, you’ll help raise awareness of the everyday challenges experienced by people with upper limb differences and contribute to the development and distribution of life-changing assistive technology.
On the day, your team can host a workplace event, wear a sock on their dominant hand for one hour, and experience firsthand the challenges of completing everyday tasks with one hand. It’s an engaging opportunity to spark conversations, promote inclusion and understanding, encourage employee participation, and raise support for Free 3D Hands.

Open Days
Ever wondered what Free 3D Hands does and how 3D printing is helping people with limb differences around the world? Join us for one of our Open Days and get a behind-the-scenes look at how assistive devices are designed, printed, assembled and delivered to those who need them most.
During these events, you’ll see live demonstrations of our 3D printers in action, learn how we create custom assistive devices for people with limb differences, and discover how these devices are sent to recipients across the globe. You’ll also have the chance to meet Mat Bowtell, our Founder & CEO, hear the story behind Free 3D Hands, and ask questions about the technology, the mission and the impact.
Come along, explore the technology and see how innovation, compassion and 3D printing are changing lives.
