How much do the materials cost?

Approx cost: $8 per hand

Depending on the size of the hand, the average cost of materials as recommended in our Print & Assembly manual will be between $5 – $15.

Please note, we buy in bulk where we can.

What are our hands made from?

The main 3D printed parts of our devices are made from a bioplastic called PLA (polylactic acid). It is derived from corn starch and is biodegradable. It is non-toxic to humans and the environment, skin safe and lends itself extremely well to 3D printing applications. It is inexpensive due to the ready availability of its source materials and requires less energy to produce than petrol-based polymers.

Adaptive Cuff & Attachments

A simple device which can be used to hold various utensils or equipment. We make adapters which fit into the cuff for ball throwing and for playing the piano.

The only limit is your imagination!
